About

My spiritual journey was ignited by a diagnosis of breast cancer in the early '90's. The transformative power of this experience was life changing. It moved me from a successful career in municipal government and international development into an intense journey of inner work.

I became a student of ancient healing and spiritual practices. I knew that the severity of this health challenge was my body's deep wisdom at work, and I realized my healing lay in using this wisdom experientially to sense, feel and absorb the teachings. I studied the Sanskrit Chakra system, the ancient ways of the earth based spiritual seekers, the mysteries of Ayurvedic Science of Life and Chinese Five Elements medicine. As I progressed with my personal healing I began to share these powerful energies of change with others who were facing similar challenges in their lives. With the guidance of my allies and teachers, spiritual and mundane, and the willing participation of my students, I drew together the threads of these teachings and wove them into this tapestry I call Sacred Healing Arts.

The logo I've chosen for my healing work is the Venus of Lauselle. This is one of the most powerful neolithic images of the Earth Mother found carved in a limestone cave in Dordogne South of France dating to 25,000-20,000 BCE. One of the inspirations for my spiritual journey has been Marija Gimbutas the Lithuanian archeologist whose body of work brought a whole new perspective to our understanding of pre-history and established the existence of a peaceful matrilineal culture that honoured the natural cycles of mother earth.

Along the way I have developed skills as a workshop facilitator, teacher, spiritual guide and healer. My studies yielded certificates in advanced clairvoyant healing skills, Chakra healing, Ayurvedic and Chinese energy healing and reading, Reiki Level II, Aromatherapy Massage, and Tui Na Chinese massage.

My spirituality is Feminist Earth-Based drawing from the Goddess traditions and the old religion of wicca. I am initiated in the Reclaiming tradition, and a student of the Anderson Feri tradition. My passion for personal and planetary healing finds expression through my teaching and healing work, my spiritual practice and my service to the community. I am a member of the planning team for the annual Women's Spirituality Celebration in Vancouver, a shareholder in Glen Valley Organic Farm Cooperative in Langley, and a volunteer at the St. Paul's Church labyrinth in Vancouver.

I am delighted to have this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to those whose teachings, guidance, wisdom and love opened me to the possibility and potentiality of my life as I now experience it.
